HOBBIES: I cook under pressure: tell me there’s nothing to eat and I’ll make a real meal out of it. I explore new cities on foot, no map, walking fast (people complain they can’t keep up). And every December, I bake coconut macaroons for family & friends, the one tradition people count on from me. CURRENTLY LEARNING: I’m at the intersection of AI, learning design, and a workforce changing faster than training can keep up. AI can build a full course in minutes instead of months, but keeping people genuinely engaged and retained still comes down to something no algorithm can do alone.

HOBBIES: Traveling, reading, and cooking. CURRENTLY LEARNING: I am learning to cook. My wife and I started making dinner together after the kids moved out, and it has turned into the best hour of our day. The cooking is only half of it. The other half is standing in the kitchen with no screens and nothing else competing for attention, trading stories about how the day went.

HOBBIES: Still playing competitive volleyball, even though my body has submitted several formal complaints. CURRENTLY LEARNING: I’ve recently gotten into adult coloring and am learning far more about markers, color combinations, and blending than I ever expected to know. Turns out I have opinions.

I’m happiest either off on a new adventure or just spending time with my favorite people. CURRENTLY LEARNING: Lately, I’ve been diving into behavioral psychology, especially the little things that influence the choices we make every day without us even realizing it. It’s fascinating once you start noticing them!
